AI LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP · FOR MANAGERS AND LATERAL LEADERS

Leadership in the AI transformation: guiding people through change.

AI is changing how organizations work faster than most leadership models were built for. This workshop puts the human side of that change front and center.

Lead with clarity and empathy, even when you don’t have all the answers.

AI adoption rarely fails because of the technology.

Most leadership programs skip the hardest part: leading people who are unsettled, skeptical or quietly blocking. That is where this workshop starts.

Human-centered leadership in the age of AI

AI is more than a technology update. It changes how decisions get made, how teams work together and what leadership means. Traditional leadership models have few answers for this. The more routine work machines take over, the more the human part counts: judgment, trust and connection.

So the workshop doesn’t revolve around metrics. It looks at the environment in which people are willing to carry the change. Leaders let go of the idea that they have to know everything. They give people footing, take uncertainty seriously and bring people along, across departments too.

WHO THIS IS FOR

For everyone guiding people through AI change

The workshop is for managers with direct reports as well as people who lead without formal authority. And for everyone tasked with making AI adoption in their organization work for the people in it.

Managers with direct reports
Lateral leaders in projects, product teams and AI networks
Executives and leadership teams
HR, L&D and transformation teams
THE CHALLENGE

What quietly slows AI adoption down

Three patterns show up in almost every organization introducing AI. They cost speed and motivation, and they rarely get named.

Stuck in day-to-day operations

Leaders are stuck in operational work with little room for direction or the bigger picture. At the same time, they’re expected to push AI forward without the time to understand it themselves.

Worry and quiet resistance

People who fear being replaced pull back. It happens quietly: unused tools, workarounds, fading engagement. It rarely gets addressed, because managers don’t have the tools to do it.

AI without a shared direction

IT rolls out tools, business units experiment on their own, HR offers training. Nobody connects the threads. The result is duplicate work, friction and isolated solutions that no one feels responsible for.
THE TRANSFORMATION

From uncertainty to human-centered leadership

What changes between the first session and the last.

BEFORE

Leadership deficit

AFTER

Human-centric advantage
Leaders running on operational autopilot, with no room for direction or strategy.
Room for the bigger picture again, through smart delegation and targeted use of AI.
Pressure to know everything about AI.
Leading with clarity, empathy and direction, even without every technical answer.
Quiet worry about job security, rejected tools, people holding back.
A culture of trying things, where mistakes are part of learning and people create value together with AI.
A few enthusiasts try AI, everyone else stays on the sidelines.
AI champions with a clear role who bring their colleagues along laterally.

No shared language for leadership in AI change.

A shared understanding of leadership based on the JEDERSHIP® approach.
METHODOLOGY & CURRICULUM

What the workshop covers

The workshop works with conversations and real scenarios from participants’ own work. The focus is on leadership behavior and mindset, built on one conviction: people create the value, not the technology.
HOW WE WORK

Built on real situations from your own leadership work.

You bring what’s on your mind right now: the team member who’s pulling back, the department that won’t get on board, your own uncertainty. Then you practice, in conversations and scenarios, what leadership in AI change actually looks like. What you build still holds up on the Monday after.
THE TRAINER TEAM: HumansMatter

Designed and led by Alexander Keller

ARCHITECT OF SYSTEMS & MINDSET

Alex brings more than 15 years of experience as a leadership coach, agile practitioner and trainer. With degrees in computer science and psychology, he connects the human side of teams with the technical realities of AI.

His approach is based on the JEDERSHIP® principle he developed, the core of his book “JEDERSHIP: Warum Führung alle etwas angeht” (Why leadership is everyone’s business). In it, he describes leadership as an inner stance and a matter of personal development, not a question of rank or hierarchy.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Questions about the AI Leadership Workshop

How is this different from the AI Literacy Workshop?
The AI Literacy Workshop gets teams comfortable using AI tools in practice. The AI Leadership Workshop is for the people who lead and guide that change. The two work well together: leadership sets the frame, literacy brings AI into daily work.
Is the workshop suitable for lateral leaders?
Yes. It’s designed for managers with direct reports just as much as for project leads, product owners and anyone moving AI forward without formal authority.
We're building a network of AI champions or ambassadors. Is this workshop a fit?
Yes. AI champions lead laterally: they persuade rather than instruct. The workshop strengthens exactly that role and helps you develop role profiles and participation formats.
Will participants learn specific tools like ChatGPT or Claude?
No. The focus is on leadership, culture and collaboration in AI change. For hands-on tool skills, there is the AI Literacy Workshop.
Does the workshop cover AI strategy, data ethics or governance?
Only briefly. Strategy development, governance, ethics and legal questions are not part of the workshop. We touch on them so you know what matters in daily work, and we leave the strategic legal side to specialized programs.
What preparation is needed?
Very little. Bring an open mind and two or three current friction points from your area related to digital change. No technical preparation is needed.
How do the results last after the workshop?
On request, we offer follow-up sparring and peer coaching, so leaders can work through real challenges as they come up.
What does the workshop cost?
After a short initial call, you get a tailored quote. The return shows up as less resistance to AI, less friction between departments and leaders who carry the change.
